We know it can be tough to find the time for a full-blown skincare regime every morning; we love our beauty sleep too!
That’s why we’ve put together this list for all our lazy gals out there that need some quick fix beauty hacks to keep you looking your best each day with minimum effort
1. Wear your hair up when you sleep
Lingering product, natural oils and bacteria can all jump from your hair to your skin while you sleep. A super easy way to prevent unnecessary pimples is to pin your hair back, wear it in a braid or pick whatever style you want, just keep it off your face at night!
2. Clean your accessories
Did you know that your phone has more germs on it than a toilet seat? Yuck! Our skin comes into contact with a lot more than we realise on any given day, so it’s important you give your skin a fighting chance by wiping down your mobile and your sunnies before putting them near your skin!
3. Style your hair before you put make-up on
Heat from blow dryers can melt make-up, which is a big no-no for skincare. Melted make-up can seep into your pores and lead to breakouts, so style your hair before you put your make-up on to keep those pesky pimples at bay.
4. Turn down the heat in your shower
Cool your jets, ladies! Hot water in the shower can cause your skin to dehydrate, which could lead to your body over-producing oil which could result in acne.
5. Fight wrinkles while you sleep
Morning minutes are precious, even more so when you’re not a morning person. Regardless whether you’re an early riser, or if you fly out the door with your toast still in your mouth each morning, invest in a good evening cream to fight wrinkles while you sleep and skip the hassle of morning moisturising.
6. Wash your fringe
Greasy hair on your face is enough to take the spring out of anyone’s step. If you want to skip shampooing before you leave the house but your fringe resembles a bit of an oil slick, pull the rest of your hair into a ponytail, run a small amount of conditioner through your fringe, and rinse. Simple!
Brush your teeth while you wait for your conditioner to sink in and apply make-up while you’re waiting for your breakfast to cook.
8. Red lipstick
A bright lip is a gal’s best friend. If you’re after maximum impact for minimum effort, look no further than a bright red lippy. Whether you’re flying between meetings or heading to the office straight from bed, you can’t go wrong with red.
9. Stay cool
Don’t sweat the small stuff! If you’re prone to summer break outs, grab yourself a mist toner. A quick spritz with a Mist Toner goes a long way in keeping your skin hydrated and looking great when the mercury starts to rise.
10. Oil up
A natural plant based oil is something we always keep in our cupboard. Just a couple of drops of Chia Seed Oil can serve as an instant moisturiser, spot make-up remover, hair de-frizzer and cuticle lover… All in one cute bottle!
The trick is to keep it simple, find products that are multi-purpose (like chia seed oil) and avoid hot showers, as much as that breaks my heart!
