A Visual Feast: M2 Woman at New Zealand Fashion Week
M2 Woman was at Fashion Week this year, and it did not disappoint. It was an entertaining show across the week, featuring everyone from perennial stars like Karen Walker to exciting newer designers, plus a NZ Fashion retrospective including the timeless Loraine Downs! Given it was such a visual feast, here is a photo montage to help you enjoy the highlights.
Perennial star Karen Walker’s show brought a welcome playful edge. Catwalk models are well known for their near-expressionless pout as they tread the runway. Yet in the KW collaboration with Adidas, the models wore their serious faces on the way out and then broke into smiley bouncy fun on the obstacle course on the way back.
The star of the show for us was Adrion Atelier, who not only brought fabulous fashion but owned the runway himself on his victory lap. Speaking of laps, the show was brought to us this year by Giltrap Group, who put a rather tasty 1956 Porsche on display for discerning fans.
