Ethics and fashion collide in the recent Outland Denim x Karen Walker collaboration. With a mandate to produce ethically-made garments that last, Outland Denim have established themselves as a socially responsible fashion brand that puts their employees first. Starting in 2011 as a way to offer a career pathway to formerly enslaved or exploited women in Cambodia, the production house offers their now 80 employees a living wage and educational advancements to set up their future. Aligning both their social responsibility values, along with their design eye, the capsule collection from Outland Denim and Karen Walker features cropped flares, a wrapped mini skirt, straight leg jeans, a worker-style jacket and bespoke printed t-shirt, all made from sustainably produced organic cotton.
