Directed by Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind’s Michel Gondry, the video loops on itself over and over as Kylie walks around the block. Each lap she makes, she circles back over the top of the previous footage taken, the background becomes crowded with the same extras interacting in interesting ways, and Kylie herself is accompanied by her own clones. It’s a piece of practical VFX that has aged like fine wine. How many rainforests would we have to burn down to achieve this same result with AI now?
